This popular course offers a perfect mix of classroom study and ‘hands-on’ practical workshop activities, giving you a deep insight into practical access control from the installers’ perspective.

Covering site surveying and system design, the training will provide you with the fundamentals skills to design, install, operate, repair, maintain and commission fully networked access control systems that are ready to meet the challenges of the modern world.

This course has no prerequisites to enrolment and is aimed specifically, though not exclusively, at those wishing to change their careers. However all are welcome onto this training programme.

The course carries a BTEC Level 3 Award – a respected qualification for anyone seeking career opportunities in the electronic security sector.

By holding this qualification, you demonstrate to your clients and colleagues you have proven skills in access control system installation.

On leaving the Royal Navy Lewis joined one of the UK’s largest independent security systems companies as their Chief service/installation engineer, then in 1999 was head-hunted to become the Head of Engineering at the Career Transition Partnership to run their engineering department and to deliver Security Systems training courses.
