This fundamental electronic principles training course gives a practical understanding of electronics and is vital for everyone involved in the repair, maintenance and commissioning of all electronic security systems. As part of the practical exercises, you will build a basic series and parallel circuit, then using a multimeter you will learn how to correctly measure Current, Voltage and Resistance.
From Ohm’s law, to practical exercises recognising resistor colour codes this practical course will provide a good fundamental understanding of the basic concepts and electronic principles laws and components used within this industry.

Lewis began his career as a Weapons Engineering Mechanic in The Royal Navy working with weapons systems, telecommunications, magazine safety sprinkler systems and small arms. On leaving the Royal Navy Lewis joined one of the UK’s largest independent security systems companies as their Chief service/installation engineer, then in 1999 was head-hunted to become the Head of Engineering at the Career Transition Partnership to run their engineering department and to deliver Security Systems training courses.
